Job summary

Sanderson is seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to shape a large-scale AI platform. You will own the AWS foundation, including multi-account architecture, landing zones, guardrails and hybrid networking, with a focus on secure, scalable platform capabilities.

Key areas include building AI/ML platform tooling on AWS Bedrock, strong IaC with Terraform, and modern CI/CD using Docker/Kubernetes, all while mentoring engineers and delivering production-grade cloud solutions in a regulated

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on AWS expertise at platform level with multi-account design.
• Experience building AI/ML platform capability on AWS, Bedrock preferred.
• Advanced IaC skills with Terraform; CloudFormation/CDK welcomed.
• Strong scripting (Python, Bash) for automation and self-service tooling.
• Proven CI/CD, containerisation and orchestration with code-managed Pipelines.
• Cloud security, policy-as-code and governance in regulated settings.
• Track record delivering scalable, cost-efficient AWS solutions in enterprises.
• Mentoring engineers and raising performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve AWS platform foundations including multi-account architecture and guardrails.
• Drive platform standards and golden paths to simplify service deployment.
• Enable automation, reliability and cost optimisation; treat infrastructure as code.
• Mentor engineers and align work across teams to deliver cloud-native AI solutions.
• Take AI platform from foundation to production-grade with Bedrock tooling and observability.
