Microlise is seeking a Senior Software Engineer AWS to join our Midlands-based software engineering team. You will work on diverse projects, contribute to design, testing and deployments, and mentor junior engineers. The role offers a clear career path, strong training, and a culture focused on work-life balance.

You'll develop with C# and .NET in AWS, participate in sprint ceremonies, deliver high-quality code and collaborate across teams to drive scalable, secure cloud solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• Commercial experience as a Software Engineer in an Agile environment.
• Strong development experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in AWS.
• Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Understanding of cloud architectures, scalability, security and resilience in AWS.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of OO concepts and SOLID principles.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and modern software design patterns.
• Experience with unit testing and delivering maintainable code.
• Knowledge of software quality practices and code reviews.
• Ability to coach/mentor engineers.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative communication skills.
• Passion for technology and continuous learning.

Responsabilités

• Participate in stand-ups, bug fixes, project work and design sessions.
• Contribute to sprint reviews, demos and release cycles.
• Support junior engineers and promote best practices in the team.
