Job summary

The Walt Disney Company Limited is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Cloud Account Management (CAM) team in Manchester. You will design, build, and support automation and tooling to enable secure, self-service AWS usage for engineering and operations across Disney.

You will collaborate with DevOps and Application teams, implement IAM controls, and help drive cloud-native deployment strategies. Join a team that values security, collaboration, and innovation, and contribute to scaling

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience building on public cloud, preferably AWS.
• Experience with deployment and CI/CD tools: Terraform, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, Jenkins.
• Backend development in Python and building APIs.
• Hands-on AWS Security/IAM administration and policy creation.

Responsibilities

• Write automation tools for self-service, deployment, detection, alerting and mitigation in AWS.
• Champion and implement security best practices for cloud operations.
• Manage IAM permissions for users and workloads in AWS.
• Provide guidance on service design and deployments to development teams.
• Own initiatives and contribute to future solution designs and planning.
• Be a go-to technical resource across teams and levels.
• Monitor and respond to inbound issues.
