Job summary

Cloudscaler is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer (AWS) based in London with travel to customer sites. You will define technical strategy for enterprise cloud platforms, architect secure foundations, and automate with Terraform across multi-cloud contexts.

Strong leadership and customer-facing skills are essential. You will mentor engineers, drive SRE practices, and influence security models while delivering end-to-end cloud transformations for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Deep AWS expertise and cloud platform design
• Strong Terraform and automation experience
• Proven cross-functional leadership and mentoring
• Experience operating at scale in regulated environments

Responsibilities

• Define and lead technical strategy across enterprise cloud platforms, with focus on IaC modularisation
• Design and build secure, production-ready platform foundations
• Automate complex platforms with Terraform
• Package services into AMIs, Docker, or Serverless
• Work directly with customers, driving cloud transformations end-to-end
• Apply site reliability best practices and mature security models
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across teams
