Job summary

Modis International Ltd is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS) to design, implement, and support scalable AWS environments. You will drive infrastructure automation, governance, and continuous improvements with an emphasis on security and reliability.

The role involves collaborating with technology teams to ensure cost-effective, resilient cloud platforms and ongoing optimisation across services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and more.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing AWS environments.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Hands-on IaC with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Scripting/automation with Python, Bash, or AWS CLI.
• Understanding of cloud security and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Optimise cloud environments for performance, availability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Support cloud migration and transformation projects.
• Implement and maintain cloud governance, security controls, and compliance standards.
• Monitor cloud services and investigate incidents and performance issues.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams and procedures.
• Act as a senior escalation point for AWS issues.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver robust cloud solutions.
• Evaluate new AWS services and technologies and suggest improvements.
