Aviva is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the Cloud Platform Engineering team in the UK, working across AWS and Terraform, Python and Jenkins. The role involves hands-on delivery, design input and mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced financial services environment.

You’ll contribute to scalable cloud services, IaC patterns and secure, reliable solutions that support millions of customers. The Bristol/Norwich/York/Eastleigh locations may apply, with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Solid, hands-on experience across AWS, Terraform, Python and Jenkins.
• Active interest in new technology, using AI to sharpen work and delivery.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, able to articulate complex technical problems.
• Track record of improving services to be more efficient, reliable and valuable with design involvement.
• Security-focused mindset is a priority in everything built.

Responsibilities
