Job summary

Version 1 are seeking a seasoned AWS Architect to lead cloud architecture across customer engagements in Europe. You will design scalable AWS-based solutions, drive best practices, and mentor engineers within the AWS Practice.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on cloud experience, AWS certifications, and a passion for security, automation, and cost optimization across large-scale deployments. Flexible/remote working within the UK is supported.

Qualifications

Experience as an AWS Architect.
Knowledge of the AWS Well Architected Framework.
Linux (RHEL, Centos) and Bash.
Understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies.
At least one software development language (Python/NodeJS/Java/.Net).
Security experience.
An interest in mentoring and developing others.
Hands-on experience across cloud solutions.
CDK, Typescript, Terraform experience.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement cloud solutions for various applications on AWS.
Automate cloud operations and deployments.
Move apps and workloads to the cloud and optimize patterns.
Collaborate with business leads to understand requirements and define architecture.
Ensure security and cost optimization for AI/ML workloads.
Develop templates and reference architectures with engineers.
Contribute to proposals using technical skills and provide thought leadership.
