Job summary

Allied World is seeking an experienced underwriter to manage a diverse international portfolio, focusing on profitable growth in the London market. The role requires leadership of junior underwriters and close collaboration with brokers and clients to deliver tailored terms and conditions.

Ideal candidates hold ACII, have 12+ years in major international construction underwriting, and possess strong communication, marketing and pricing skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level ACII qualification or equivalent.
• 12+ years of demonstrable experience underwriting major international construction projects.
• Strong liaison with clients and brokers, and ability to present effectively.

Responsibilities

• General underwriting and pricing analysis for a diverse portfolio.
• Authorising quotes and issuing binders per guidelines.
• Mentoring junior underwriters and underwriting assistants.
• Liaising with actuarial for pricing models and benchmark development.
• Attend Lloyd's box and manage regional P&L and budgets.
• Engage in client/broker meetings and drive business development.
