Job summary

Anthropic in London is seeking an AV Engineer to design and implement systems enabling collaboration across offices in the EMEA region. You will architect AV solutions from concept through commissioning for conference rooms, event spaces, and collaboration areas to support AI safety research.

This role requires hands-on programming of AV systems, development of standards, and scalable infrastructure to support everything from team meetings to company-wide broadcasts, with travel up to 8 weeks

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience designing and implementing enterprise AV systems.
• Proficient in Q-Sys or similar control systems.
• Hands-on with video conferencing platforms (Google Meet).
• Able to read and create AV technical drawings (schematics, line diagrams, elevations).
• Understand DSP concepts for audio (echo cancellation, noise reduction, EQ/dynamics, automixing).
• Knowledge of enterprise video distribution, streaming technologies, and broadcast standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead AV design, procurement, and programming for new office builds, expansions, and retrofits.
• Create and maintain AV system designs including schematic drawings and elevation plans.
• Program and commission AV systems to meet user requirements.
• Ensure day-one readiness for new offices during deployments.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and workplace teams to align AV needs.
