Job summary

Emotiv Technical Recruitment has a challenging opening for a Quality Assurance/Regulatory Lead in Dartford, focusing on automotive conformity and type approval processes across the supply chain to meet customer quality expectations and drive continual improvement.

Based at our new state-of-the-art facility in Dartford with occasional travel to manufacturing partners, you will drive COP/CoP, CE/UKCA, RoHS/REACH/ WEEE compliance and maintain crucial product documentation.

Qualifications

• Relevant further education or apprenticeship to a minimum of national diploma level in allied engineering trade.
• Actively engages with IET or CQI or equivalent professional bodies.
• At least three years’ relevant industry experience in customer/supplier facing role.
• Experience in automotive supply chain (Prime, Tier 1 or OEM) or aligned industry.
• Conformity of Production (CoP), Type Approval, Homologation, CE, UKCA, FCC, IC, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, IMDS, IATF 16949:2016.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support type approval and conformity of production activities across the value stream.
• Assist with new type approvals, extensions, regulation revisions and cessation of production.
• Ensure product conformity to global market access legislation.
• Support QA in Conformity of Production requirements across the supply chain.
• Raise competencies and awareness of type approval and homologation processes internally and externally.
• Train stakeholders on current or new product compliance topics and translate legislation into internal requirements.
• Own and maintain documented type approval, COP, and product conformance processes.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure full assembly plant clearances and ongoing conformity.
• Coordinate with product managers on new product and project records for approvals and scope changes.
• Liaise with supply chain on EMC, sustainability, product safety and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage documentation for substances of concern (RoHS, REACH, PFAS, TSCA) and for supply chain transparency (Conflict Minerals, Extended Minerals).
• Represent the organisation in communications with test services and authorities, and respond to external requests.
