Job summary

RS Group is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Specialist to drive automation across the organisation, with remote working and occasional travel to Corby. You will identify opportunities, design and deliver solutions using UiPath, Power Automate, and related platforms, partnering with stakeholders at all levels.

You will mentor developers, support continuous improvement, and help scale automation across business units while aligning with Agile practices and modern integration approaches.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering automation solutions in enterprise environments.
• Experience with UiPath, Power Automate and other automation platforms.
• Experience across the full delivery lifecycle of automation solutions.
• Understanding of APIs, system integrations and related technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills translating business needs to technical solutions.
• Experience working with stakeholders across business and IT, including senior leaders.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Git as version control.
• Knowledge of AI, intelligent automation or programming languages (Python, C#, JavaScript) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and professional-level English.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Senior Automation Specialist within the GSBS Automation team, you will play a critical role in identifying, designing, and delivering automation solutions that drive efficiency and business value across the organisation.

You will:

• Identify and assess automation opportunities, recommending the most suitable solutions and technologies.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using platforms such as UiPath and Power Automate.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and process owners to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, support best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex automation issues and ensure solutions remain scalable, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Mentor developers and support the growth of the wider automation community.

What Skills and Experience We Are Looking For From You

• Proven experience delivering automation solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of automation platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or similar.
• Experience designing, building, and supporting automation solutions across the full delivery lifecycle.
• Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and related technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience working with stakeholders across business and IT teams, including senior leaders.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control tools such as Git.
• Knowledge of AI, intelligent automation, or programming languages such as Python, C#, or JavaScript would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and professional-level English.
