Job summary

M Group Water is seeking a Controls and Systems Integration professional to design, implement, and optimize PLC, HMI and SCADA solutions for water infrastructure across Scotland. You will develop technical documentation, configure control systems, and support QA processes while travelling to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PLC, HMI and SCADA systems, including software development, testing and commissioning.
• Familiarity with QA processes and documentation standards.
• Understanding of industrial networks like Profibus/Profinet/Ethernet/IP/Modbus.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across Scotland.
• Proactive problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions for water & wastewater assets.
• Produce design and operation documentation (FDS, hardware designs, test docs).
• Configure and programme control systems using Siemens and Rockwell platforms.
• Provide technical support and optimization of existing control systems.
• Participate in design reviews, audits, and lessons learned.
• Build strong client relationships and provide trusted technical expertise.
