Job summary

BGEN Ltd is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions for water and wastewater assets. You’ll produce and review design documentation, perform FAT/SAT, and support commissioning to ensure safe, compliant operation.

Experience with Schneider/Rockwell/Mitsubishi platforms, QA processes, and cyber security is valued. Travel across the UK Midlands region may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, developing, and implementing PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions for process industries.
• Ability to produce and review Functional/Software Design Specifications and test records.
• Understanding of QA processes, cyber security, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions for water and wastewater assets.
• Produce documentation such as FDS, SDS, test records, and operation manuals.
• Perform FAT, SAT, commissioning, and QA activities to ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
