Job summary

M Group Water is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to deliver automation and control projects across Scotland’s water infrastructure. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, from design through testing, commissioning, and ongoing support, contributing to reliability and efficiency of assets.

You will design PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions, prepare design documentation, and collaborate with clients to ensure solutions meet specifications and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering automation and control projects for water infrastructure.
• Ability to design, develop, and test PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions.
• Familiarity with QA, design reviews, and client standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions for water and wastewater assets.
• Produce functional and system design documentation and test artefacts.
• Configure and program control systems using Siemens and Rockwell platforms.
• Support QA, audits, and compliance with engineering best practices.
• Participate in design reviews and lessons-learned workshops.
• Provide troubleshooting and optimisation of existing control systems.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver technical expertise.
