Job summary

Sopra Steria Ltd is recruiting a Senior Infrastructure Engineer focused on automation to support a large-scale project in the Aerospace, Defence and Security sector. The role is on-site in Farnborough with DV clearance priorities for British nationals.

You will design and implement automation solutions, develop IaC with Terraform, manage Ansible playbooks, and build CI/CD pipelines. A strong Windows/Linux background and various scripting skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling.
• Hands-on automation experience in large-scale environments.
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux system administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (modules, state management, reusable patterns).
• Create and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation pipelines.
• Build automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows.
• Improve deployment processes, environment consistency, and operational efficiency.
