Job Title: Technical Senior Automation Engineer

360 Talent, a high-end retail recruitment firm specializing in connecting top-tier candidates with Fashion, Beauty, and Lifestyle brands globally, is partnered with a Premium Womenswear brand seeking a Technical Senior Automation Engineer.

This role involves leading the architecture and development of system integrations and automation solutions. You will manage a small team, convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and have hands-on coding experience. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) with a hybrid working environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a cross-functional team of engineers, ensuring collaboration and performance
2. Design and implement data flow architectures between backend systems and external providers
3. Develop system integrations using low-code platforms and TypeScript
4. Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, migration, and validation
5. Support eCommerce re-platforming initiatives and future automation strategies
6. Identify and escalate risks or issues impacting project timelines
7. Break down project requirements into actionable tasks and monitor progress via Kanban
8. Collaborate with Project Managers on project priorities and deliverables

Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
