Job summary

Medidata Solutions in London is seeking a Senior Staff Test Engineer to lead automation engineering, architect scalable Python-based frameworks, and drive AI-powered testing within CI/CD pipelines.

You will mentor automation engineers, implement standardized practices, and collaborate with product, engineering and release teams to ensure high-quality, timely releases in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python development with strong OOP and clean code.
• Architect scalable test automation frameworks from scratch.
• CI/CD concepts and practical experience with GitHub Actions or equivalents.
• Experience building or working with AI/LLM agents in tests.
• API test automation using REST or GraphQL (Pytest/Requests).
• Lead, mentor, and grow automation engineers across teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and release management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, setting direction and accountability.
• Architect and maintain scalable Python-based test automation frameworks.
• Drive CI/CD integration for automated test execution (GitHub Actions or equivalents).
• Develop AI agents to enhance testing workflows and reporting.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure on-time, high-quality releases.
• Own automation projects end-to-end from design to reporting.
• Enforce automation best practices, coding standards, and coverage strategies.
• Integrate automated tests into deployment to enable continuous feedback.
• Embed quality early in the development lifecycle with product/engineering.
