Job summary

Wbg Services LLP in Glasgow is seeking an Audit Senior to join our External Audit team, based in the Glasgow office. You will lead audits from planning through to completion, acting as a key contact for clients and ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

You will supervise and develop junior staff, review work, and collaborate with managers, directors, and partners to uphold UK auditing standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified with CA or ACCA and completed examinations.
• Audit experience of 4–6 years, PQE preferred.
• Experience supervising junior team members.
• Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards and ISAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits from planning through to completion.
• Serve as senior fieldwork member on engagements.
• Supervise and review junior staff’s work.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring.
• Prepare statutory accounts and disclosures.
• Draft management letters with improvements.
• Maintain client relationships and attend meetings.
• Ensure audit quality and regulatory compliance.
• Support proposals, sales, and business development.
• Assist onboarding and development of trainees.
• Occasional travel (overnight) may be required.
