Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a reputable UK accountancy firm that is seeking an Audit Senior to join its welcoming and professional Chelmsford office. The Role

As Audit Senior, you will take a lead role in delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a diverse client portfolio, while supporting the development of junior team members and ensuring exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities of the Audit Senior:

• Plan, lead, and complete audits from planning to completion, in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and building trust.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and feedback throughout assignments.
• Get involved in advisory assignments – from business planning to risk management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards.
• Work closely with managers and partners to deliver an efficient and effective service to clients.

To be considered for the role of Audit Senior, you will be:

• ACA/ACCA/CA qualified/newly qualified or QBE with strong audit experience within an accountancy practice.
• Proven track record in leading audits for a variety of clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and commercially aware, with a curiosity to understand clients’ businesses.
