The job itself

Location - remote working, but with the requirement to work at East Riding Council on a semi-regular basis.

Salary - £37,035 - £40,476 per annum (subject to experience). A progression grade for less experienced candidates is also available (£32,115 - £36,124).

Permanent, full-time 37 hours a week - Monday to Friday – with flexible working available.

SWAP provides a professional, cost-effective, and high-quality internal audit service to clients, based on a sound understanding of business needs and objectives. We aim to improve corporate governance, risk management, and internal control systems for partners and clients nationwide. Due to growth, we are seeking Senior Auditors to join our teams.

Candidate requirements

• Qualified as an Internal Auditor (CMIIA or CIA) OR meet entry requirements for the CIA qualification: 2:1 degree in any discipline, OR Internal Audit Practitioner designation within the last 3 years, OR 5 years internal audit experience.
• Experience in internal audit delivery, including IT audits.
• Committed to quality and continuous improvement.
• Enthusiastic about data analytics and agile auditing.
• Effective communicator across all organizational levels.
• Flexible, proactive, and collaborative.
• Interested in professional development and continuous learning.
• Willing to travel across the Council region and to partner sites.
