Job summary

Saffery LLP in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Qualified Senior Associate to join our audit team. Applicants must be CA, ACA or ACCA qualified and able to display a commercially minded and organised approach to client work.

You will be a key part of a growing team providing audit, advisory and accounting services to diverse clients, with a clear path for progression as the firm expands.

Qualifications

• CA, ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong audit experience, including planning and completion.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Client-focused with a keen sense of commerciality.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word, and familiarity with CCH accounts and audit automation (preferred).
• Up-to-date technical knowledge in accounting and auditing standards.
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, pressured environment and be a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Project manage and drive forwards the audit and accounting process, liaising with senior finance staff.
• Take ownership of planning, fieldwork and completion of audit engagements with managers and partners.
• Contribute to direction and running of the team; participate in ad hoc projects and client advisory work.
• Supervise and coach junior staff and coordinate with tax staff and clients.
