Job summary

Saffery Champness in Inverness is seeking an experienced Qualified Senior Associate to join our audit team. You will lead audit engagements, liaise with client finance teams, and help deliver a broad range of audit, advisory and accounting services to diverse clients.

The role offers a 35-hour week with hybrid working policy, flexible benefits, contributory pension, and vibrant progression opportunities as the team grows. CA/ACA/ACCA qualification is required.

Qualifications

• CA/ ACA/ ACCA qualified.
• Audit experience including planning and completion.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Client-focused with commercial awareness.
• Excel and Word proficiency; familiarity with CCH accounts and audit automation.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards.
• Excellent organisational skills; able to manage multiple jobs.
• Ability to work under pressure; proactive team player.
• Driving licence and travel to client premises desirable.
• Experience of consolidated accounts.
• Experience of IFRS and FRS 102.

Responsibilities

• Project manage and drive forwards the audit and accounting process.
• Take ownership of planning, fieldwork and completion of audits.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on engagements.
• Contribute to team direction and running of the department.
• Possibility to participate in ad hoc projects and client advisory work.
