Job summary

Saffery LLP in Inverness is seeking an experienced Qualified Senior Associate / Assistant Manager to join our audit team. You must be CA/ ACA/ ACCA qualified and bring a commercially minded, organised approach to client work.

You will drive forwards the audit and accounting process, taking ownership from planning through to completion, liaising with client finance teams and collaborating with managers and partners.

Qualifications

• CA/ ACA/ ACCA qualified
• Audit experience including planning and completion
• Excellent communication skills
• Client-focused with commercial awareness
• Excel and Word proficiency; familiarity with CCH accounts
• Audit automation experience is a plus
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting/auditing standards
• Excellent organisational skills; multi-job management
• Ability to work under pressure
• Driving licence and ability to travel to client premises (beneficial)
• Experience of consolidated accounts
• Experience of IFRS and FRS 102

Responsibilities

• Project manage and drive forwards the audit and accounting process, including liaising directly with senior individuals in clients' finance teams.
• Get actively involved in every aspect of the audit process, taking ownership of planning, fieldwork, and the completion on audit engagements, working closely with managers and partners.
• There may also be opportunities to work on ad hoc projects e.g., department or firm wide working groups and client advisory work.
• Opportunity to manage a small portfolio of jobs to support career progression
