Job summary

SI Recruitment is seeking an Accounts Senior Associate to join a collaborative accounts team in Inverness with hybrid working on offer.

You will manage a varied portfolio of clients, prepare year-end financial statements, and mentor junior colleagues while delivering high-quality advisory work and ensuring deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, ICAS or AAT qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working in an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of entities.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with VAT/bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks/Sage) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review year-end financial statements for a broad range of clients.
• Manage your own portfolio of businesses, partnerships, trusts and other organisations.
• Support managers with planning and delivery of client work, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Take ownership of advisory and project-based assignments.
• Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping, VAT and cloud accounting software queries.
• Build strong, long-term client relationships and act as a trusted point of contact.
• Assist with billing and financial management of client work.
