Job summary

TPF Recruitment is partnering with a growing accountancy practice in Croydon to appoint an Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager / Manager. The role focuses on leading SME audits and accounts, delivering high-quality work, and mentoring junior staff.

You will manage audits from planning through to completion, act as a main client contact, and drive technical excellence while supporting staff development in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 5 years' audit experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong audit and accounting knowledge across SME clients.
• Experience supervising junior team members and reviewing work.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME audit and accounts clients from planning through completion.
• Lead audit planning, budgeting and scheduling to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Supervise audit teams including Seniors, Associates and Trainees; review working papers.
