Harris Federation is seeking an experienced Attendance Manager to join Harris Lowe Academy Willesden. The role focuses on monitoring attendance data, identifying patterns, and driving improvements in attendance with pupils and families.

You will lead the Attendance Team, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and report to senior leaders. The salary reflects 39 weeks per year, with a 37.5-hour week.

Competenze

• Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in an applicable field.
• Experience working in a school/academy or educational setting, ideally in attendance-focused role.
• Strong knowledge of attendance policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Experience managing attendance systems, records and reporting, including analysing attendance data.
• Good working knowledge of MIS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience building positive relationships with students, parents, carers and external agencies.
• Understanding of challenges faced by vulnerable and disadvantaged young people.
• Experience leading attendance interventions and improving attendance outcomes.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with safeguarding, welfare and pastoral teams.

• Leading the development and delivery of the Academy's attendance and punctuality strategy.
• Acting as the Academy's Senior Attendance Champion, driving a culture of high attendance and continuous improvement.
• Managing and developing the Attendance Team to ensure effective and compliant practice.
• Monitoring attendance data, identifying trends and implementing targeted interventions to improve outcomes.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory attendance requirements and maintaining accurate records and reporting.
• Overseeing daily attendance processes, including absence monitoring and first-day response procedures.

• Leading attendance meetings, action plans, home visits and other intervention strategies.

• Maintaining oversight of the academy roll and pupil admissions records.
• Producing attendance reports and analysis for senior leaders, governors and pastoral teams.
• Contributing to attendance, pastoral and leadership meetings, providing updates on interventions and outcomes.
• Promoting and celebrating good attendance through effective communication and recognition initiatives.
