Job summary

GCS is seeking a Senior Atlassian Technical Consultant for a 12-month contract on a remote (UK) basis. You will design, deliver and govern enterprise Atlassian solutions, lead cloud migrations and drive digital transformation across complex client environments.

The role is client-facing, requires deep knowledge of Jira Software, JSM, Confluence and Atlassian Cloud, and you will contribute to presales, solution designs and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Atlassian Consultant, Solution Architect or Senior Technical Consultant.
• Experience running discovery workshops and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Client-facing consulting experience within enterprise environments.
• Experience producing solution designs, Statements of Work and technical documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently within a remote consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead client workshops, discovery sessions and requirements gathering activities.
• Design and implement solutions across Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence.
• Deliver Atlassian Cloud migration programmes from Server and Data Centre environments.
• Produce high and low-level solution designs, technical documentation and migration strategies.
• Support presales activities including solution design, effort estimation, proposal creation and technical presentations.
• Advise clients on Atlassian best practice, governance, operating models and roadmap planning.
• Configure and optimise Jira, JSM and Confluence environments.
• Lead stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Work closely with delivery, project management and customer teams to ensure successful outcomes.

The Opportunity

Essential Skills & Experience

Extensive experience as an Atlassian Consultant, Solution Architect or Senior Technical Consultant.

Deep knowledge of:

• Jira Software
• Jira Service Management (JSM)
• Confluence
• Atlassian Cloud
• Proven experience delivering Server-to-Cloud and Data Centre-to-Cloud migrations.
• Strong understanding of Atlassian administration, workflows, permissions, automations and integrations.

Experience running discovery workshops and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Client-facing consulting experience within enterprise environments.

Experience producing solution designs, Statements of Work and technical documentation.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Ability to operate independently within a remote consulting environment.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working for an Atlassian Partner or Consultancy.
• Atlassian certifications.
