Job summary

Synergize Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Atlassian Technical Engineer to support the configuration, maintenance, migration and optimisation of Atlassian solutions across a large-scale technology environment. You will work across Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and JSM, delivering robust application engineering, upgrades and integrations, with a focus on automation and modern DevOps practices.

The role is a 6‑month initial contract in Telford, 2 days onsite, Inside IR35, BPSS and SC

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience delivering Atlassian solutions with strong hands-on application engineering experience.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence upgrades, migrations and consolidations.
• Administration and configuration of Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Bamboo.
• Experience using API and scripting to integrate Jira with other applications.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD and ITIL/ITSM practices.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and optimise Atlassian platforms.
• Deliver Jira and Confluence migrations, upgrades and consolidations.
• Carry out technical assessments and platform health checks.
• Configure JSM workflows, queues, SLAs and automation.

Atlassian Technical Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Atlassian Technical Engineer to support the configuration, maintenance, migration and optimisation of Atlassian solutions across a large-scale technology environment.

You will work across the Atlassian platform and associated Marketplace and supporting technologies, delivering robust application engineering solutions and supporting upgrades, migrations, integrations and automation.

Key Requirements

Candidates should have a minimum of Three years' experience delivering Atlassian solutions and strong hands‑on application engineering experience, including:

• Strong hands‑on experience with Jira and Confluence, including upgrades, migrations and consolidations
• Atlassian technical migration accreditation/certification
• Technical assessments, health checks and platform reviews
• Administration and configuration of Jira and Confluence
• Administration of Bitbucket and Bamboo
• Jira Service Management (JSM) configuration, including queues, SLAs and automation
• API and Scripting experience, including integrations between Jira and other applications
• Experience using CI/CD automation to support application upgrades, testing and deployment
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD and modern software development practices
• Understanding of ITIL/IT Service Management
