Job summary

NATS Ltd in Swanwick is looking for an Operational Technical Expert to join the Communications Engineering Support Group. You will lead delivery, maintenance and reliability of critical Air Traffic Control voice systems, supporting controller-facing applications that keep the skies safe.

Based at Swanwick, you will work in a safety-critical environment with on-call responsibilities and a focus on continual service improvement, system configuration and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

Professional engineering qualification to Higher National Certificate or SQF Level 7
Demonstrated experience in safety-critical environments
Strong incident and problem management experience
Ability to lead and mentor in multidisciplinary teams
Clear communication with stakeholders

Responsibilities

Maintain and support designated systems/applications
Lead incident and problem management to restore service resilience
Implement continual service improvements
Manage configuration changes and system transitions
Engage with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure service delivery
Provide training and guidance to colleagues
