Job summary

NATS Ltd is seeking a Systems Engineer to support meteorological (Met) observation systems used in UK air traffic operations. You will work within a specialist team to deploy, maintain and improve weather reporting, data processing platforms and related services, ensuring accuracy and resilience in a safety-critical environment.

You will engage with engineers, project teams and operational stakeholders to deliver reliable Met solutions, with opportunities for site deployments and on-call support

Qualifications

• Professional engineering qualification to at least HNC level or equivalent.
• Alternative criteria include Apprenticeship with demonstrable engineering experience.
• Desirable: ATSEP or OEM training in ATM equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project requirements and timelines with stakeholders.
• Produce technical specifications for minor systems and support major system specs.
• Lead engineering activities and contribute to system deployment and support.
• Manage day-to-day project activities including installation and commissioning.
• Provide testing, maintenance procedures and change assurance.
