We are looking to recruit a Senior Associate with a Contentious Probate background, ideally 4-6 years PQE, to join a highly successful, nationally recognised, Tier 1 Legal 500 ranked Contentious Probate team.

The structure of the team suggests that the role is most suitable for someone with 4-6 PQE, though applicants with additional years are welcome. Ideally, you will be ACTAPS qualified (fully or partially), but those without such qualification will also be considered. The work involves handling matters for a broad range of clients, including high-profile individuals. This diverse, nationwide client base offers opportunities to work on varied, complex, and interesting matters, many of which proceed to mediation or court.

Job responsibilities:

• Managing a caseload of varied Contentious Probate matters and meeting deadlines.
• Assisting Partners with more complex cases.
• Providing clients with accurate, current legal advice and cost updates tailored to their circumstances, ensuring value for money.
• Maintaining data integrity in platforms like Liberate and Worksite with timely updates.
• Supporting business development and marketing activities.
• Conducting legal research proactively and as needed.

• Proven experience managing Contentious Probate files.
