Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Chartered Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management services in Glasgow. You will oversee feasibility through final accounts, manage fees and profitability, and act as senior client liaison to secure repeat work. Collaboration with PM and other streams is essential.

Ideal candidates have MRICS status and proven leadership in commercial real estate projects in Scotland, with excellent communication and client-facing skills. Health & Safety compliance is required.

Qualifications

• MRICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor with experience delivering commercial real estate projects.
• Leadership experience managing and developing teams in a cost management context.
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to secure repeat work in a Scottish market.

• Take responsibility for the performance and financial management of cost management projects, including fees, billings and profitability
• Act as a senior point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships and securing repeat work
• Support fee proposals, tenders and promotion of cost management services
• Work collaboratively with Project Management and other service lines to deliver integrated solutions
• Lead, manage and mentor a team of cost managers
• Contribute to recruitment planning and resourcing
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements, company procedures and professional standards
• Help shape the strategic direction and continued growth of the service

Requirements

• Degree or MSc in Quantity Surveying
• Chartered (MRICS) Quantity Surveyor
• Proven experience delivering commercial real estate projects from feasibility through to completion
• Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing and developing teams
• Experience managing fees and project performance
• Established knowledge of the Scotland construction market
• Excellent communication, presentation and client-facing skills
