Job summary

Hollis seeks a senior Cost Manager to lead the cost management team in the London/South East region. You will drive pre- and post-contract cost management, develop regional growth plans, and manage client relationships to secure new work.

Ideal candidates hold a Degree/MSc in Quantity Surveying with MRICS, strong Excel and AutoCAD skills, and a proven track record in Real Estate project delivery within the London market.

Job description

• Lead the cost management team and help steer cost management services in the London/South East region
• Support cost management instructions across a variety of building sectors
• Develop business plans for regional cost management growth
• Manage a team of cost managers and develop recruitment plans with the service head
• Build relationships with new and existing clients and contribute to securing new work
• Promote cost management services for business development
• Work with the regional project management team on project delivery and provide cost management support
• Deliver pre- and post-contract cost management
• Prepare feasibility cost plans, pricing documents, cost reports, appraisals, and benchmarking studies
• Support and administer tender processes
• Attend site meetings and assess project progress, abnormal cost impacts, and restrictions
• Prepare valuations and post-contract cost reports
• Manage monthly project billing and work in progress, including hours into work in progress
• Meet target KPIs
• Drive adherence to Health & Safety procedures
• Support the team's continuous professional learning and integrate Hollis Company Values

Requirements

• Degree or MSc in Quantity Surveying
• Ideally some work experience in a Real Estate and commercial property environment
• MRICS
• Capable of leading projects through all stages, including client care, fee proposals, completion, and handover
• Experience delivering real estate projects, not infrastructure, from feasibility through completion
• Experience preparing accurate cost plans, tendering procedures, post-contract valuations, and cost reporting
• Knowledge of the regional market and established in the London/South East construction market
• Essential proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with AutoCAD is advantageous
• Ability to lead a team of cost managers
• Ability to drive adherence to Health & Safety procedures
• Commitment to continuous professional learning
