Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior/Associate Planner to join the infrastructure team in Bristol. The role involves leading major infrastructure and energy projects across the UK, managing from inception to completion, and developing client relationships.

The ideal candidate will be MRTPI qualified with strong experience in town planning, especially NSIP/DCO, and excellent communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• MRTP/ MRTPI qualified or equivalent
• Significant town planning experience, infrastructure focus
• Strong understanding of Planning Act 2008 and NSIP/DCO process
• Excellent communication and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage major infrastructure planning projects through NSIP and DCO
• Prepare planning statements, reports and supporting planning documentation
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, stakeholders and statutory consultees
• Provide planning advice across major infrastructure and energy projects
• Support business development and contribute to growth of the infrastructure planning team
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Mentor and support junior team members
• Ensure projects comply with planning legislation, policy and best practice
