Job summary

Penguin Recruitment seeks an Associate Planner or Associate Director to join their Bristol team, taking on a leadership role in a growing consultancy. The role focuses on planning applications, land promotion, and stakeholder engagement across the South West and Thames Valley.

The ideal candidate will bring strong regional planning experience, MRTPI qualification, and a track record in client development, with hybrid working available and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or related discipline.
• MRTPI qualified.
• Strong experience in UK planning market.

Responsibilities

• Advise on development potential of land and buildings.
• Lead and support planning applications and appeals.
• Provide policy research to inform planning strategies.
• Draft representations for Local Plan consultations and examinations.
• Identify and assess land opportunities.
• Manage projects from strategy through to planning permission.
• Represent clients at planning appeals and Local Plan examinations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support business development and growth initiatives.
