Job summary

TLT LLP in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior non-contentious Managing Associate to join the Projects, Infrastructure & Construction team. The role is ideally based in Glasgow or Edinburgh with flexible hybrid working, and we welcome applicants from other locations.

You will lead complex construction mandates, supervise junior lawyers, develop client relationships and contribute to business development, while helping to expand the firm's offering nationally.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor (registered with the Law Society/SRA or equivalent) with 6 PQE+ at a senior level in construction.
• Experience in non-contentious matters; real estate development or public sector exposure is a plus.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Experience supervising Associates, Trainees and Paralegals.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide strategic advice to clients.
• Be an active, senior member contributing to the firm’s local and national offering.

Responsibilities

• Support with key mandates across non-contentious construction work, with Partner support.
• Support clients on real estate development, energy, infrastructure, housing and student accommodation projects
• Participate in business development activity to strengthen the team and firm client base
• Supervise Associates, Paralegals and Trainees, to support their development
• Develop your skills, knowledge and construction law expertise
• Delegate to and receive support from Senior Associates, Associates, Trainees and Paralegals
• Support the Partner team on tenders and contribute to team strategic planning
