Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams on building services projects.
• Chartered Engineer status or actively pursuing chartership.
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards and Building Regulations.
• Experience managing budgets, programmes and client expectations.
• Excellent communication for client-facing meetings and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical building-services design from concept to construction.
• Manage projects against budgets, programmes and quality targets.
• Define technical requirements and deliverables with clients.
• Develop strong client relationships to generate repeat business.
• Contribute to business development, fee proposals and presentations.
• Oversee resources, variations and financial performance.
• Review and approve technical designs, calculations and reports.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams and contractors.
• Oversee CAD and Revit production for coordinated design.
• Conduct site inspections and witnessing of testing/commissioning.
• Provide mentoring and development for junior engineers.
• Support the team with standards and QA procedures.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and Building Regulations.
• Provide input to sustainability-related projects where required.
