Handpicked Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Associate Director/Director – Chartered Structural Engineer for a leading independent building consultancy in the UK. You will lead complex projects, mentor engineers, and shape the growth of the Structural Engineering team.

The role covers remediation, new-build, investigations and expert technical consultancy for developers and institutional clients. You will engage with clients, deliver reports, and promote in-house expertise.

Qualifications

Chartered Structural Engineer with MIStructE or MICE.
Broad structural engineering experience in new-build and refurbishment.
Significant remediation experience including fire, flood, subsidence and defects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Commercial awareness and ability to drive business growth.
Proven mentoring of junior engineers and graduates.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage complex structural engineering projects from instruction to completion.
Build and maintain strong client, consultant and contractor relationships.
Undertake structural assessments, investigations and technical reviews.
Deliver consultancy advice for developers and institutional clients.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the team.
Support business development and promote in-house technical expertise.
Produce high-quality technical reports and engineering advice.
