Job summary

Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor with UK/intl experience in derivatives and structured finance.

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, commercial awareness and strategic thinking.

The Role We are looking to recruit an exceptional Senior Associate or Counsel to play a leading role within our derivatives practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on some of the market's most complex and high-profile transactions while taking significant responsibility for client relationships, matter management and junior lawyer development. The successful candidate will be a recognised technical specialist with extensive experience advising on complex derivatives structures and associated regulatory issues. You will act as a trusted adviser to clients, lead transaction teams and support the strategic growth of the practice.

Key Skills and Experience.
  • Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales (candidates with experience from other jurisdictions may also be considered)
  • Experience at a top-tier UK, US, or international law firm, with a focus on derivatives and structured finance
  • A strong academic background, with a solid understanding of derivatives products and financial markets
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in ISDA documentation, collateral arrangements, structured derivatives and related regulatory frameworks.
  • Have a strong track record of leading complex transactions and managing client relationships.
  • Possess excellent technical, drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
  • Be confident supervising junior lawyers and contributing to the development of the wider practice.
  • Have experience supporting business development and helping to grow client relationships.
