Job summary

Interlink Recruitment is working with a highly regarded global law firm to recruit a Senior Associate or Counsel – Derivatives to join its London Capital Markets practice.

You will advise on complex derivatives, lead transactions, manage key workstreams, and develop client relationships while mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to business development.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales; other jurisdictions considered.
• Expertise in derivatives and structured finance at a top firm.
• Strong ISDA documentation, collateral arrangements and regulatory knowledge.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and client relationship skills.
• Ability to lead transactions and supervise junior lawyers.

Job description

I am working with a highly regarded global law firm recognised for its technical excellence, international reach and collaborative culture, to recruit a Senior Associate or Counsel – Derivatives to join its London Capital Markets practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced derivatives lawyer to work on complex, high-profile transactions, take ownership of key matters and develop strong client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of an established international practice.

Responsibilities

• Advising on complex derivatives transactions, structured derivatives, ISDA documentation, collateral arrangements and associated regulatory matters.
• Leading transactions, managing key workstreams and delivering commercially focused legal advice to clients.
• Building client relationships, supervising junior lawyers and supporting their professional development.
• Contributing to business development initiatives and identifying opportunities to grow the practice.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales, although candidates qualified in other jurisdictions may also be considered.
• Experience at a top-tier UK, US or international law firm, specialising in derivatives and structured finance.
• Strong technical expertise in ISDA documentation, collateral arrangements, structured derivatives and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills, with proven experience managing complex transactions, developing client relationships and supervising junior lawyers.
