Austen Lloyd is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Contract Disputes team. Based in the United Kingdom, you will manage your own caseload from start to finish, handling court proceedings, mediation, and ADR where appropriate. You will assess prospects for success early and ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.

The role operates on a hybrid model with two days in the office per week, with potential for full-time or part-time arrangements depending on agreement.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX practitioner with contract disputes experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Proactive approach to managing a caseload to a high professional standard.
• Strong understanding of regulatory obligations and codes of conduct.
• Collaborative and client-focused mindset.
• Effective negotiation and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload from start to finish in a commercial, pragmatic manner.
• Resolve matters through courts, mediation, and ADR where appropriate.
• Conduct early assessments of prospects of success for each claim.
• Ensure matters comply with relevant legal expenses insurance policy requirements.
• Support efficient case management, meet SLAs, KPIs and financial targets.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.
