Job summary

Mic helmores LLP is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its Construction & Engineering team. The role focuses on non-contentious matters with the option to handle contentious work and to advise on complex contracts for public and private sector clients across multiple regions.

You will draft, negotiate and review a wide range of documents, collaborate with partners and other associates, and contribute to business development and client service excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' post-qualified experience in Construction and Engineering.
• Experience advising on a range of construction matters including non-contentious work.
• Extensive drafting and negotiating experience across contract families (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, EPCs, etc.).
• Strong business development mindset and ability to identify opportunities.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and advise on contract terms proposed to clients.
• Draft and negotiate contracts, appointments and ancillary documents.
• Interact with clients and other advisors in person or via Teams.
• Manage day-to-day running of files, under supervision from Partners/Managing Associates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across offices and sectors.
