Job summary

Secretariat seeks a skilled delay analyst to join the Construction Delay Team in London. You will research, analyze data, and quantify construction delays on major projects, supporting expert reports for arbitration.

Requirements include an engineering degree, 5+ years post-graduate experience in engineering & construction, advanced Excel, planning tools (MS Project, Asta Powerproject, Primavera), and excellent written English. Travel up to 15% and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• At least five years’ post-graduate experience, ideally in engineering & construction within professional services.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with planning software such as MS Project, Asta Powerproject or Primavera.
• Excellent written English.
• Fluency in another language preferred.
• Willingness to travel (generally under 15%).
• Able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Research and fact-finding from technical and non-technical documentation.
• Data analysis to identify trends, anomalies and causes of cost and schedule overruns.
• Quantification of delays in large-scale construction projects.
• Assist drafting of expert reports for arbitration.
