Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
At least five years of post-graduate work experience in engineering & construction with ideally one year in delay and programming expert witness services.
Strong skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with planning software such as MS Project, Asta Powerproject or Primavera is an advantage.
Excellent written English.
Understanding of relevant industry protocols preferred.
Fluency in another language preferred.
Aptitude for communicating complex, technical matters to a non-technical audience.
Ability to travel as needed (generally under 15% of the time).
Flexible and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Research and fact-finding: Review technical and non-technical documentation (schedules, drawings, reports, weather data).
Data analysis: Interpret large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential causes of cost and schedule overruns.
Quantification: Apply analytical methods to quantify delays in large construction projects.
Assisting with the drafting of expert reports for use in arbitration.
