Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering and Chartered with the ICE.
• Experience in civil design including roads, drainage, retaining walls and earthworks.
• Experience in producing and reviewing construction drawings.
• Confident and proactive with clients and project teams.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards.
• Experience in ground investigation.
• Experience with drafting/analysis software such as AutoCAD, PDS and Flow.
• Driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking or supervising civil design and producing design drawings and documents.
• Leading and mentoring team members in the production of designs and drawings and providing technical support to juniors.
• Liaising with clients, design teams and contractors and leading project delivery.
• Carrying out site assessments and drainage/road surveys.
• Controlling project budgets including fee proposals and resource allocation.
• Ensuring compliance with the company quality policy.
• Identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals and participating in client presentations.

Associate Civil Engineer - £55,000 - £65,000

Job Description

As a Chartered Engineer, the successful candidate will join the Senior Management Team working directly with the Company Directors in the technical and commercial management of projects from concept to completion.

The job will involve

• Undertaking or supervising civil design and overseeing production of design drawings and documents.
• Leading and mentoring team members in the production of designs and drawings. Providing technical support to junior team members as part of their training and development.
• Liaising with clients, design teams and contractors and taking a lead role in the delivery of projects.
• Carrying out site assessments and existing drainage and road surveys.
• Controlling project budgets including fee proposals to clients and resource allocation.
• Ensuring compliance with the Company quality policy.
• Contributing to business growth by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals and participating in client presentations.

Requirements

The candidate should have the following:

• A degree in Civil Engineering and be Chartered with the ICE.
• Experience of civil design including roads, drainage, retaining walls and earthworks.
• Experience in the production and review of construction drawings.
