Job summary

Arthian seeks an enthusiastic civil engineering professional to join our multidisciplinary team delivering civils projects across the UK.

You will lead technical and managerial delivery, chair bids and tenders, and mentor staff while coordinating with our multidisciplinary groups to provide integrated project outcomes. Some travel across the UK and overseas may be required, with a hybrid working pattern and attractive benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng/MSc) or equivalent.
• Chartered ICE status or working towards chartership.
• Experience in an engineering consultancy and civil project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Technical and managerial delivery of civils projects (drainage, roads, renewables).
• Lead bids and tenders and develop new opportunities in energy, defence and manufacturing.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Technical and managerial delivery of civils projects, including drainage, roads, and renewable sector opportunities.
Client facing, comfortable leading bids and tenders, and exploring new opportunities – particularly in energy, defence and manufacturing sectors.
Understand the development needs of team members and lead them to perform at their best.
Liaising with our multidisciplinary groups and teams to provide our clients with a fully integrated approach to projects.

About You

Drive and ambition to succeed and support the business to do the same
Relevant experience of working on multi-disciplinary projects and tasks
Experience in an engineering consultancy, with particular expertise in project managing and delivering civils projects.
Demonstrable technical excellence in civil engineering design
In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and guidance
Excellent communication (verbal and written) including production of clear and precise technical reports and effective presentation of findings/recommendations
People management and staff mentoring experience beneficial
Can work to tight timescales and manage multiple projects at once

Qualifications

You will hold a BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering or other relevant degree to the role, experience and skills.
You will be a Chartered Member of ICE, or as a minimum, demonstrably working towards chartership.

Additional Information

The role may require travel (including occasional overnight stays) across the UK and overseas, depending on project requirements
A full clean driving licence is desirable
Legal right to live and work in the UK is required
