Job summary

Brandon James Ltd. in London is seeking an experienced Associate Architect to lead a varied portfolio from inception through to completion, reporting to the Architectural Director.

You will develop design concepts, oversee technical delivery, manage client relationships and nurture the London team as the department grows, with opportunities for leadership and growth. Projects range from £300k to £40m, offering exposure to a spectrum of schemes and complexities.

Qualifications

• RIBA Part III qualification and ARB registration.
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and BIM.
• Thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations.
• Experience within education, residential, social housing or healthcare projects.
• Knowledge of NBS specifications.
• Experience preparing fee proposals and project financial management.
• Strong client-facing, networking and business development skills.
• Experience managing or mentoring architectural staff.
• Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance where required.

Responsibilities

• Leading architectural projects through all RIBA stages.
• Managing and mentoring members of the architectural team.
• Preparing feasibility studies, design concepts and planning applications.
• Producing and reviewing technical information using Revit.
• Managing project resources, fees, forecasting and profitability.
• Attending client, design and site meetings.
• Supporting bids, fee proposals and tender submissions.
• Developing existing client relationships and generating new opportunities.
• Contributing to the continued growth of the London office.
