Job summary

Brandon James is recruiting an Associate Architect in London to lead projects from inception through completion, working closely with the Architectural Director. The role includes design quality, resource planning and client relationships, with progression toward leadership of the London team.

Key projects range from 300k to 40m, offering exposure across education, residential, healthcare and civic sectors.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold RIBA Part III / ARB registration.
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and BIM.
• Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations.
• Experience in education, residential, social housing or healthcare projects.
• Knowledge of NBS specifications.
• Experience with fee proposals and project financial management.
• Strong client-facing, networking and business development skills.
• Experience mentoring architectural staff.
• Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance where required.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects through all RIBA stages.
• Mentor and develop architectural team members.
• Prepare feasibility studies, design concepts and planning applications.
• Produce and review technical information using Revit.
• Manage resources, fees, forecasting and profitability.
• Attend client, design and site meetings.
• Support bids, fee proposals and tender submissions.
• Develop existing client relationships and generate new opportunities.
• Contribute to growth of the London office.
