Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious, and motivated individual to join our team as a pharmacy assistant. If you do not hold an NVQ/BTEC level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent, this is an excellent opportunity to undertake a recognized pharmacy qualification through an apprenticeship, whilst being paid a Band 2 salary. Applicants without a pharmacy level 2 qualification must have GCSE grade C/4 or above in English, Maths, and Science. This position is 37.5 hours a week, including participation in late-night, weekend, and bank holiday shifts. Main duties of the role

1. Provide dispensing and support services to hospital wards and departments, including pharmacy reception duties with some patient contact.
2. Use IT systems for medication management, stock control, and liaising with healthcare professionals.
3. Participate in all aspects of medication handling, including dispensing within the dispensary and at ward level.
4. Assist in managing patient flow and workload as part of a team.
5. Perform daily duties such as reception tasks and medication processing.
