Job summary

Park Plaza County Hall is seeking a Senior Assistant Engineer to lead building maintenance and supervise contractors on site. You will ensure timely PPM tasks, respond to guest requests, and uphold a high standard of upkeep across rooms and facilities.

The ideal candidate brings experience from hotels or similar settings, strong communication, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset. The role includes comprehensive staff benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel or similar settings as Shift Engineer or Assistant Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Positive attitude with ownership and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall maintenance of the building.
• Carry out routine inspections of equipment.
• Maintain professional image and cooperate with guests and team members.
• Complete PPM rooms thoroughly including decoration, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, silicone replacement, bathroom repairs, lighting, ventilation, and final inspections.
• Supervise contractors and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Manage requests promptly, helpfully and with care.

We are looking for a Senior Assistant Engineer who will:

• Be responsible for the overall maintenance of the building
• Carry out routine spot checks of equipment
• Promote a helpful and professional image to guests and other team members by responding with full and positive cooperation to requests received
• Complete PPM rooms thoroughly, including decoration, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, silicone replacement, bathroom repairs, lighting, ventilation, furniture repairs and final quality inspections.
• Supervise contractors and maintain accurate maintenance records
• Manage requests promptly, helpfully, politely and with a caring attitude
